Rates Estimate Calculator

The amount of commercial rates payable in any year by a business is calculated by multiplying the Rateable Valuation of the property by an Annual Rate on Value (ARV).

The Rateable Valuation of your property will be set by the Valuation Office upon issue of Final Valuation Certificates in October 2018. The ARV will be set by the elected members of Laois County Council in November 2018, prior to issuing 2019 rates bills. Laois County Council will provide an Indicative ARV during 2018.

This Rates Estimate calculator has been provided so that you can estimate your potential rates liability for 2019.

Based on the ARV of other similar counties we have used 0.23 for the ARV in this calculator. This is not the Local Authority Indicative ARV or the final ARV set by Laois County Council and is only being used as a guide.
