The Valuation Process in your Rating Authority Area

Laois Revaluation

On 22nd of December 2017 a Valuation Order was signed for the rating authority area of Laois County Council. The signing of the Order commences the Revaluation of all commercial and industrial properties within Laois County Council.

By now you should have received a Proposed Valuation Certificate relating to your property. If you have not received a Proposed Valuation Certificate in relation to your property please contact the Valuation Office by phone on 01-8171033, Lo-Call 1890 531 431, or by email at

Ratepayers who are satisfied with their proposed valuation do not have to respond to the Valuation Office.

Ratepayers who are dissatisfied with any material aspect of the Proposed Valuation Certificate may make representations to the valuation manager up to and including 20th August 2018.

Valuation Orders, which set in train the process for the revaluation of all commercial and industrial property in the counties listed below, were signed on Friday the 6th October 2017 by John O’Sullivan, Commissioner of Valuation. By now you should have received a Revaluation Information Pack including a Revaluation Information Form. This form should be completed and returned as soon as possible. Alternatively you may also complete the Information Form online, using your unique Property No. and PIN which will be provided in this information pack.
